- For French citizen, an identity card or valid passport is sufficient.
You can carry up to 200 cigarettes (or 2 cartridges), or 100 cigarillos, or 50 cigars, or 250 grams of smoking tobacco and 1 liter of alcohol (over 22 degrees) or 2 liters of liquor (less 22 degrees).
Foreign citizens can travel to the French Overseas Territories depending on their vaccination status and the health situation of their country. If you plan to travel to the French Caribbean archipelago of Guadeloupe from the United States (classified as “orange” on the basis of health indicators on October 12, 2021), you must follow the following instructions: If you are fully vaccinated against sars-cov2 (covid 19): you will have to present proof of your vaccination (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson), – and the results of a negative PCR or antigen test of less than 72 hours (PCR) and of less than 48h (anti-gen) upon boarding and arrival in Guadeloupe. U.S. visitors will also have to present a sworn statement they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 nor contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Vaccinated visitors from the U.S. will not be subject to quarantine, however they will have to respect the lockdown measures, including the enforced curfew every day from 10 pm to 5 am. If you are not vaccinated against sars-cov2 (covid 19): you will have to present the results of a negative PCR or antigen test of less than 72 hours (PCR) and of less than 48h (anti-gen) upon boarding and arrival in Guadeloupe. All non-vaccinated travelers will also need to present a compelling reason as to why they are traveling to the Guadeloupe Islands and will be subject to a mandatory 7-day quarantine. Children under 11 are exempt from testing. Only passengers from tropical countries must present a certificate of vaccination against smallpox. Tap water is potable everywhere, but mineral waters are also available to consumers in trades and restaurants.
